Fun @ Grandma and Grandpa's House!

After the 4th of July weekend, Jim had to go home to go back to work, but the girls and I got to stay a couple extra days to play with Grandma and Grandpa!

First of all, Lizzie is in love....with Chloe! She absolutely loved Julianna's dog! She is only 6 months old, but was very well behaved. She loved to play in the morning, but her favorite place to be is on someone's lap. Lizzie spent as much time with her as she could. She figured out how to keep her on her lap and loved to snuggle with her and pet her and play with her. It was pretty cute! Rachel also loved Chloe. She would squeal and scream when she saw the puppy. Then she would crawl after her. Chloe thought it was pretty fun and would play along. Miriam was a bit more cautious with Chloe and enjoyed playing, but never wanted her on her lap.

So Monday, we lounged around all morning. Grandma fixed us lunch with grilled cheese on her homemade french bread, fruit and coleslaw! Yum-O!!!
We attempted the La Habra Children's Museum, but it was closed on Mondays (opps) so we ran a couple errands, got frozen yogurt, played at a playplace and then headed back for a "swim" in the "pool" while Rachel took a nap!
On Tuesday, we went to see "Tale of Despereux" at the Free Film Festival. The girls enjoyed their popcorn and drinks and Rachel slept through most of it, which was perfect! After another quick errand, we picked up lunch at In-N-Out, which hit my happy spot! That evening, after dinner, the girls got to take a swim with Grandpa. Then he busted out his "Fizzies". He found them when stopping at Peggy Sue's Diner on the way to UT. Evidently, they were a favorite treat when he was younger. You put the tablet in water and it turns it into a fizzy, flavored drink. We tried the root beer flavor. Let's just say it wasn't A&W, but it was a fun blast from Grandpa's past!

Mom and Dad sure know how to show the grandkids a good time. :) I love that Dad got those fizzies. How cool that they still make them! Also, I can't believe how big Chloe is these days! She is certainly bigger than I remember. Anyway, I'm glad that you got to spend a couple more days playing with Grandma B and Grandpa Bob. I'm also jealous that you got In N Out. That's definitely going on the itinerary for Girls' Trip.
