Movie Night!

Tonight was movie night at Serra School.  Last year, we bribed the girls with brownies, cookies and ice cream at home so we wouldn't have to go sit in the cold.  This year, I decided at first that I would just take the big girls, but then figured that Rachel was big enough to sit in her chair for most of the time.  We stopped at the store in the afternoon and everyone got to pick out a treat.  I wanted Red Vines, Miriam wanted Skittles, Liz picked Wint-O-Green lifesavers, and Rachel picked out Twinkies.  I also grabbed some caramel corn; we were set.  We found a great spot when we got there and started a lively game of Uno while we waited.

Then we went over and picked up hot dogs, chips and a water for the girls' dinner.  Miriam and Rachel traded each other because one only likes the hot dog and one only likes the bun.  Whatever.

Rachel was a huge fan of the Twinkies.
She would have eaten the entire box if I let her!
It looks like we were the only ones there!
But we were on the side and it filled in behind us before the movie started; we actually had great seats and could see and hear really well.  I loved that it wasn't too crowded.

By the time we finished our food and our Uno game, it was time for the movie to start.  They showed "The Muppet Movie".  The girls did great in their little pink camp chairs (thanks Grandpa Bob and Grandma B!) with their fleece blankets.  Rachel only needed one trip to the bathroom and didn't end up on my lap until the last 10 minutes.  I had so much fun with my girls tonight!!!

Sounds like a smashing success! Glad that it worked out so well to have Rachel with you. They all look like they had a blast. :)
