First Day of School

The big girls went back to school on the 21st this year.  They were both really excited.  I had already found out their teachers online, but they wanted to go over to the school the afternoon before.  So we went and checked the lists and found out if their friends were in their class or not.

Miriam was super excited that her good friend, Christina, was in her class.  She was also really excited to have Mrs. Gate this year since Liz had her last year.  She already knew all the fun things she would get to do.  Liz had Ms. Martinez, who we had all heard good things about as well.  She was excited to go back to school too!

We did father's blessings the night before for FHE.  The spirit was very strong and it was a good experience for our family.  Then we got everyone into bed early for a good nights sleep and I got out our 'motivational' jar.  The girls earn pebbles every morning for practicing the piano, getting up on time, and getting their morning jobs done.  They also earn pebbles in the afternoon/evening for homework, cleaning up and being good helpers.  Chuck E. Cheese is a great motivator for all of them!

 

 

 

 

They had a successful first day and just like that, we were back in the swing of things!
