Art Night

Last Thursday was "Art Night" at the big girls' school.  We waited and waited for Daddy to get home, but he was pretty busy at work.  We finally decided to head out without him and passed him on our way to the school.  He hurried over and met us at Mimi's classroom.  We got to see all the fun art projects Miriam has done over the last year and all the habitat dioramas were on display.  Liz's classroom looked great with all their marine projects up.  We also got to see some fun stories that the kids had written.
Daddy headed home after that...it was almost seven and the poor man hadn't eaten dinner yet!  He took Rachel with him while the big girls and I stayed for the ice cream social and silent auction.  We had fun checking out all the different items that had been donated.  The girls wanted me to bid on everything!  We were outbid on most items, but squeezed in one last bid of $33 right before the table closed on a super cool 'Princess Palace' playset that retails for $130!  Liz and Miriam were so fun helping me check on our different bids and were so excited that we won.  I told them we were going to keep it a secret and save it for Rachel's birthday.
