Labor Day Weekend

Nana's sister Janene came down for a visit with her son Jimmy and wife and kids.  They wanted to go to the beach while here, so we met up with them on Labor Day weekend.

Liz had found a boogie board she really wanted and bought it with her own money that weekend and was really excited to try it out.  I put a sock on Rachel's bandage and found a water shoe to put over it and just let her play in the sand.

I totally lucked out that my nephew Landon was there.  He is a surfer and was happy to help Liz with her boogie board (which meant I didn't have to get in the water!)  They boogie boarded and then searched for sand crabs and climbed the rocks.  Liz had fun being with a big kid and Landon was a very nice cousin.

Miriam had fun playing in the waves with Papa and playing in the sand.  Rachel had fun, but was tired and enjoyed spending some time in Nana's lap.  It was good to visit with Janene and her kids.  We don't see them very often and this was a very fun visit.
