We had another beach day with our friends, the Tans. We went to state beach, which was new for us. Luckily, we got a really close parking spot and luckily, Rachel was the only one who had to go potty during the day. It was good, but not my favorite beach. However, the girls had a blast, of course!
Mommy found strawberries on sale and had a craving for chocolate covered strawberries. They were amazingly delicious!
After Liz's birthday, she wanted to buy the next book in the series she is currently reading, so we took a trip to Barnes&Noble. Liz picked out her book and Miriam had some money and picked out a new stuffed toy. Rachel really wanted the LEGO book she had been looking at, but didn't have spending money and I couldn't justify buying her anything a mere two weeks before her birthday. I told her we would come back when she had birthday money to spend. Well, wouldn't you know it, she remembered and really wanted to go to Barnes&Noble after her birthday. She ended up having $20 to spend and we had so much fun together deciding what to spend. She really wanted to buy more than one thing with her money, so decided to forgo the LEGO book. Instead, shechose a 3-D book about cheetahs (her favorite animal) and a toy similar to the one Mimi picked out. She was thrilled.
