Cabrillo Beach Aquarium
After breakfast with Jennifer, we headed down to Cabrillo Beach Aquarium and Museum. We had a fun time looked at all the displays and the fish. One of the first we saw were these fish that bury themselves in the sand and only show their eyes. The girls had fun trying to find them.

Rachel was also feeling pretty happy and asked Lizzie to dance.
The mussel display had these levers. One was a small mussel with 4lbs of pull, the other had 50lbs. By using all of her body weight (38lbs), Miriam could pull the big one. Lizzie couldn't.

Rachel was determined not to be left out. She pushed her way to the front of every display and then said loudly, "I like dat, Gamma B!"

In the "Kids Explore" area, they had a circular aquarium you could go inside. The girls thought that was cool. They also had fun dressing up and acting in front of the camera.

Rachel's just like one of the big girls now! That's so nice that your parents are close enough that you can get away for a visit, but far enough that it's still extra-special when you get to go! Your mom is looking very young, too. So fun to go back and read through all you've been doing. Way to go, Super Mom!
