Christmas Day!!!

The day that we had all been waiting for finally arrived.  The big girls were given strict instructions not to wake us up until 7:00am or later.  They woke us up at 7:00 on the dot already dressed and ready to go.  We had to wake up Rachel.

They got their stockings first and then went in the front room and opened the rest of their presents.  I think Liz was the most excited.  Ever.  There was shredding of wrapping paper.  There was screaming out loud.  There was jumping up and down.  She was beyond excited.  Liz got night vision spy goggles (the first thing she opened and had to open the box and put them on) and XBox games from Santa.
Miriam got Taylor Swift's, "Red" album and a karaoke microphone.  The speakers are in the stand and you plug your MP3 player into it.  You can change the settings to get rid of the vocals so you can sing along instead.

Rachel's big present was Hot Wheels Wall Tracks!  She wasn't really sure what it was at first, but when we explained it and then later when it was on the wall, she loved it.  She also loved her puppy (Puffy Wuffy) and her inflatable boxing set.

They finally found the letter from Santa when they checked to see if he ate all of his See's candy.  Santa also brought a Kinect for the XBox for the whole family.  This worked out great since a lot of Liz's games were for the Kinect.  This was when Liz really just couldn't contain her excitement any longer and gave over to the jumping up and down and screaming.
Ryan slept through all of this madness.  When he finally got up, he opened his presents too.  We gave him a set of scriptures, some clothes and iTunes.
Some of the other fun things the girls got were press-on nails.  I love that Rachel was in her Spiderman PJs with her Spiderman helmet and knee pads and wanted her princess press-on nails.  She cracks me up!  The big girls also got cool maps for their state quarter collections.
That afternoon, we went over to Nana and Papa's house for Christmas dinner.  Nana went way above and beyond with dinner, it was beautiful.  The kids had fun playing with cousins.  After dinner, the girls played their Christmas songs for Nana and Papa.  Then we opened presents.  It was nice to be with family on Christmas.

That evening, we vegged on the sofa and watched Liz and Daddy play Lego Harry Potter.
