A Visit to the Seals

We drove up to Carpinteria this weekend to see the seals again. Last time we went, we had missed the birthing season and we saw one. This time there were thirty or so and lots of little babies. It was a fun walk along the bluffs there and just nice to get out of the house together. They really are so funny looking as they move on land. They lay there like over-stuffed sausages and then kind of do "the worm" to scoot around where they want to go.

Wow, that's quite a few of them. They all look like they've just eaten a huge Thanksgiving dinner and can't move. I felt like that on occasion!
